Planned around the work you need to keep doing

A battery system designed for your site, with installation and commissioning coordinated by EnoPower.

Planned around your equipment

We start with the equipment you want protected and how your building uses energy through the day, not a battery size.

Clear about backup time

What stays on, for how long, and the reserve kept back are set out together in your proposal, so the trade-offs are visible before you decide.

Matched to your site

Service voltage and phases, motor starts, installation conditions and operating hours shape the design, not a one-size kit.

From first question to a commissioned system

We ask for technical details only when they matter.

  1. 01

    Share requirements

Use the planner or send a quick request. No electrical knowledge needed.

  2. 02

    Assess the site

We confirm the electrical service, installation location and equipment, by documents or a visit.

  3. 03

    Review the proposal

Configuration, what stays on, transfer arrangement, scope and pricing, with assumptions listed.

  4. 04

    Install and commission

A licensed electrical contractor installs under permit. Tests, settings and documents are recorded at handover.

Coverage

Choose how much stays on

The right level depends on your equipment, your electrical service and how long you need backup.

Essential equipment

Lights, network, computers and refrigeration on selected circuits.

Most of the site

Essentials plus key equipment and some heating or cooling.

The whole building

A design objective, not a default. It needs a load, startup, phase, duration and wiring review before we confirm it.

Site fit

Why your electrical service shapes the design

Two buildings with the same equipment can need different systems. Four things we check before anything is promised.

Target configurations are 120/240 V split-phase and 120/208 V three-phase. Other services, including 347/600 V, are reviewed per site. Optional solar is sized with the storage, where the site and configuration allow.

Send service details for review ›
Voltage and phases
Single-phase and three-phase sites use different system arrangements. Three-phase applications require review of the supported system arrangement, each phase's loads and the site's electrical service.
Per-phase limits
Each phase has its own limit. Where heavy equipment sits on one phase, the review looks at that phase, not only the total.
Motor starts
Compressors, suction, pumps and HVAC draw several times their running power for a moment at startup. We collect startup data instead of guessing.
Transfer arrangement
An automatic transfer switch (ATS) can move protected loads to stored energy and back without an operator. A manual transfer switch (MTS) needs an authorized person. Your proposal states which applies and what it means for interruption.

Overnight

The battery charges while electricity is priced lower.

Daytime

The grid supplies the building. The battery holds its charge and reserve.

Higher-priced hours

Stored energy supplies part of the building.

During an outage

Protected loads move onto stored energy through the transfer arrangement in your proposal. An automatic transfer switch (ATS) does this without an operator; a manual transfer switch (MTS) needs an authorized person. A reserve is kept back for this.

The reserve trade-off: energy kept for outages is energy not used on the daily schedule. Settings are agreed at commissioning and can be changed.

What affects backup time

Backup time is not a property of the battery alone. Four quantities decide it together, and your proposal states each one for your configuration.

kW

Protected load

Everything that runs at the same time, plus startup surges from motors.

kWh

Usable energy

Stored energy the system can actually deliver, after conversion losses and depth-of-discharge limits.

%

Reserve

The share held back for outages instead of being used on the daily schedule.

h

Desired hours

How long the protected load should run. Fewer loads or a larger reserve stretch the same energy further.

Roughly, the energy held in reserve divided by the protected load gives the hours. We give a figure for your site only after a technical review.

What should your backup plan cover?

Five questions worth asking of any proposal, ours included, and where EnoPower answers each one.

  1. 01

Which equipment and circuits are included?

Listed by name in your proposal, from the equipment you selected in the planner and the site assessment.

  2. 02

How much can run at the same time, including motor starts?

Stated as a continuous rating and a startup allowance, with the startup data we collected for compressors, pumps and HVAC.

  3. 03

How long can the selected loads run at the planned reserve?

Given as hours for the listed loads at the agreed reserve, with usable energy and losses shown, not a battery size alone.

  4. 04

What happens during grid loss, equipment failure and restoration?

The transfer arrangement (ATS or MTS), expected interruption, alarms and the return to grid supply are described for your configuration.

  5. 05

What site review, installation work and commissioning evidence are included?

Scope, exclusions, permit and inspection responsibilities, and the commissioning record you receive at handover.
